ABOUT​

Chris Goldsmith is a London-based musician, producer, and sound engineer whose musical journey has been shaped by the city's vibrant music scene. Growing up in London, Chris discovered his love for the guitar early on, paving the way for a lifelong passion for creating and performing music.

​

Having honed his guitar and compositional skills through years of live performances and writing collaborations, Chris gained recognition with his band BirdHop, earning radio play on BBC London and BBC Radio 6 Music. His solo project, LostSun, continued to make waves with a genre-blending approach, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists spanning rock, folk, and blues, and receiving significant airtime on BBC Introducing and BBC London radio.

After a number of successful London gigs, Chris caught the attention of producer Paul Sexton and was invited to perform a showcase at the Sound Lounge in 2022 marking a significant moment in his growing prominence in the music scene.

Chris has also developed a strong reputation as a producer and engineer, working with a number of notable artists such as Vieux Farka Toure, Jack Garratt, Bria Salmena, The Amazons, Sophie Jamieson, The Dress, Anna B Savage bringing their musical visions to life. His production skills are characterised by a keen ear for detail and a commitment to enhancing the sonic spectrum of each artist he collaborates with. Notably, he has had the opportunity to produce multiple artists and bands in the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

In November 2024, Chris began working as Studio Manager/Engineer at the Thin White Duke Studios in Soho, London.

Recently, Chris has worked with Grammy award winning producer Nick Gold (Buena Vista Social Club, Ali Farka Toure). This experience has allowed him to refine his craft and push creative boundaries, surrounded by the legacy of musical legends and under the guidance of the renowned Carlos Lellis.​
